GTEx Portal

The Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) project is an ongoing effort to build a comprehensive public resource to study tissue-specific gene expression and regulation. Samples were collected from 53 non-diseased tissue sites across nearly 1000 individuals, primarily for molecular assays including WGS, WES and RNA-seq. Remaining samples are stored in the GTEx Biobank.

Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx)

01.07.2021 · The GTEx Portal has been updated to data release V8 (dbGaP accession phs000424.v8.p2)! This release includes genotype data from approximately 948 post-mortem donors and approximately 17,382 RNA-seq samples across 54 tissue sites and 2 cell lines, with adequate power to detect Expression Quantitative Trait Loci in 48 tissues.

Hello, gtexportal developers! Thanks for such a useful portal! I've noticed that if you sum up transcript-level expression TPM values of a gene, the sum would not be equal (even approximately) to the gene-level expression TPM value.
