Spätestens 24 Wochen, bevor das bestehende Zertifikat seine Gültigkeit verliert, muss das Unternehmen von seiner Zertifizierungsstelle für ein unangekündigtes Audit im IFS-Auditportal angemeldet werden. Nach Ende der Meldefrist entfällt die Wahloption für das anstehende Audit, und es erfolgt nach dem regulären angekündigten Schema.
