kubuntu - KDE 5.56 SDDM Login screen resolution on HiDPI ...

14.06.2019 · I was able to re-scale the screen to 1.5 (150%) and now Plasma KDE looks great but the login screen still remains small (FHD scaled) though when I come back from Suspend mode the login screen do re-scales to 150%. There is no file called sddm.conf under /etc/, as written in the project's github page, in my OS sddm.conf located under /etc/init.

07.08.2018 · At first when i boot i saw the login screen that was way too small. Like everything in the ui. Almost readable. So i search and add the font dpi on 130, scaling in screen options at 2. But there is always that screen login that don't want to scale. If i logged out it is scaling properly. But if i reboot it's not okay.

17.09.2021 · By not scaling up to the selected screen resolution of your system. Case in point, my recent endeavor with Kubuntu 20.04 on my IdeaPad Y50-70, with its Nvidia card and 4K screen. Long story short, while I managed to get the desktop resolution and UHD scaling just right, the login screen did not obey my settings, and only rendered in 4K, ergo tiny.
