25.05.2017 · Portal and Portal 2: RIDICULOUS LOADING TIMES I pardon Valve for it-- to be fair it's (obviously) one of the major reason Portal is able to work on even the worst and oldest modern computers (in terms of RAM--this doesn't affect the GPU) -- because the game constantly loads and unloads resources it's able to only take up about 1gb of RAM.

21.04.2011 · in portal 1 most of the loading screens were broken into 2 test chambers until you got to larger test chambers. The loading screens in Portal 2 remind me a lot of Half Life 2 of coming up too frequently over very little action. Yeah they broke up a lot of the later action but they were long or anything.

25.09.2015 · Portal 2. All Discussions ... As weird as it can be, my game crashed 100% of the time at the launch (I don't even see the game screen), each time I have a controller plugged in USB.
