Deleting Users. If you want to remove a user account from the system, use the userdel command on the command line as root . userdel username. Combining userdel with the -r option removes files in the user's home directory along with the home directory itself and the user's mail spool.

As stated by Christian Labisch you need to get in contact with Red Hat Customer Support, but you need to do one step before the deletion request. [SOLVED] Deleting User in Red Hat Linux

13.09.2012 · Try this: Code: rm -rf /var/spool/mail/alice. In the future when you delete a user, make sure to include the -r option with the userdel command as this will remove the home directory and user's mail spool (that is, if you want that to happen).

Can't delete domain user - Red Hat Customer Portal

I wanted to add a local user but somehow I created a domain user, now I want to remove this domain user to create it again as local user. The question is that I can not delete this domain user , the user is not listed in /etc/passwd, if i test userdel says user does not exists , If I do id user or getent passwd user it shows me the user , and useradd user tells user already
