26.09.2015 · For instance, if your are known in Windows as 'userw' with password 'xyz' and defined exactly the same user and password in samba, when your are prompted for userid/passwd on Windows 10, just enter the userid without entering any password. That will do the trick. Note that if you enter a password even the correct one, the connection will fail.

linux - Samba will not accept the credentials - Server Fault

The Windows 7 network client requires packet signing by default (to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks), and Samba disables packet signing by default. It may be that your client and server are failing to negotiate with each other on this item. So you could resolve it in one of two ways. Server Side Solution: Enable Packet Signing on Samba

09.03.2020 · I had found many suggestions to turn on the SMB 1.0 feature, as well as suggestions to make changes to the Local Group Policy or using regedit to modify parts of the registry, but not the specific registry address referenced above. Cannot connect to Linux Samba share from ... - Server Fault

My Windows 10 at the time still did not connect to SMB 4.x but this seemed to work around this. After that just map the drive and you no longer need to manually enter in the address. Win 10 version - 10.0.14393 Build 14393 (w/ latest updates) Hope this helps any one else in the future. //SAMBA //192.168.0.22.

30.05.2020 · One problem is with user authentication in samba shares: Created two identical datasets, two users (and respective groups) and one samba share for each user. The first user can access/mount both shares (can't write to the second user's share, though), but the second user cannot access/mount any shares. Logging in through ssh works for both users.
