26.01.2010 · It is, for example, on byte3 and byte4 (it will be a part of a string buffer) there's an HEX value (QB0 state) based on 2 digits. The point is how to handle de format of these bytes as I tried to explain before. "A" it must be "0A" and "1B" -- "1B". Of course AH is 10D but not the same character represtation in an ASCII protocol.

18.02.2010 · I had already converted all my data to string so I could manipulate it more efficiently, and just today I find I didn't even need to work with the CHAR ARRAY in the first place. Now I get to go change my code to work strictly in strings, rip out the guts of all the char array handling and conversion, and smile at the magical improvements. :)

26.07.2017 · In your example, portal is doing what you asked it to do. You declare a tag as byte, word, dword, it assumes they are not integer values, so it displays as hex. If however you use, SINT (byte sized integer), INT (word sized), DINT (dword sized), it will default to decimal / integer values. It will change it everywhere you would monitor the values.
